Qualifications and Experiences
I am a accredited psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I have completed a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Institute in Nottingham. I am also a supervisor for counsellors and psychotherapist; and I am an experienced trainer.
I have been working as a psychotherapist with various clients for 16 years. I am deeply committed to a good practice and my professional development. Therefore my work with clients is supported and monitored by a senior supervisor. I attend regularly seminars, workshops and additional training.
In addition to my private practice I have been working for 9 years for NHS services offering short term therapy.
I have previously worked within the social field for many years. Clients included teenagers and adults, who experienced a wide range of difficulties, for example: mental health problems, trauma, drug/ alcohol addictions, domestic violence, learning disabilities, eating disorders, child protection issues, homelessness and criminal behaviours. These experiences have provided me with a deep and widened understanding of human behaviour, emotions and thoughts.
